Iran’s ‘The Doll’ to go to Atlanta filmfest

Iran’s ‘The Doll’ is to vie at the Atlanta Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short flick ‘The Doll’ has been selected to vie at the 2021 edition of the Atlanta Film Festival (ATLFF) in the US.

Directed and written by Nasrin Gol-Reyhan, the short film tells the story of a rescue in the war-torn Syrian city of Aleppo.

In the flick, produced by Hossein Shahabi, a female reporter finds a little girl in the war-torn city and tries to save her life.

Rezvan Beheshtian, Sahar Abdollahi, Mohammad-Javad Asadi, and Nabiollah Minaee are the main cast members of the flick.

Currently competing at the Taos Shortz Film Festival in the US, ‘The Doll’ has so far gone on screen at some global events, including the California Independent Film Festival in the US, the Cefalù Film Festival in Italy, and the Vancouver International Women in Film Festival in Canada.

The ATLFF aims to showcase the work of emerging and established artists. It brings together filmmakers from around the world to share their experiences.

The 45th edition of the ATLFF is slated for April 22-May 2, 2021.
